1995 Subaru Legacy

For 1995 model year, Subaru Legacy comes anew with its entirely new exterior
that has been stretched, rounded and smoothed and all its peculiar features have
been removed. Legacy is built in a relatively stretched wheelbase and most of
the increase is added to the interior room. Its 2.2-liter horizontally opposed
4-cylinder engine that gives an additional 5 more horsepower, gaining a total
of 135 horsepower, motorizes it.
The '95 Legacy is offered with remarkable improvement in ride and handling.
This improvement is made possible by the longer wheelbase, more stiff body and
modified suspension. For the first time, traction control become available for
those who wish to manage the car better on slippery pavement but doesn't want
to shift all the way to all-wheel drive. Traction control system utilizes both
engine and brakes to keep up best possible power levels to the front wheels.
This year's Legacy comes with a standard 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic
is available as an option. This car has smooth shifting and it utilizes engine's
power very well. Another remarkable detail in Subaru is the gear selector that
has a simple and easy pattern instead of the confusing overdrive with an on/off
button found in Subaru's competitors.
